Employee Monitoring Software

Employee monitoring built on intelligence, not surveillance.

WorkWitness captures Windows activity silently and writes one paragraph per teammate — delivered to your email and WhatsApp at 7 am IST every morning. Understand what your team actually did, without dashboards, check-in calls, or surveillance optics.

PS
Priya S.Lead Engineer
Focus Stretch

Priya held a 3 h 42 m uninterrupted session in VS Code between 10:18 and 14:00, completing the auth refactor milestone. Context switching stayed below 8 per hour. Strong execution day with no idle flags.

RK
Ravi K.QA Engineer
Context-Switch Storm

Ravi logged 38 window switches per hour from 11:00–13:30, cycling between Jira, Slack, and Chrome. Output was below his Tuesday baseline. Pattern suggests unclear priorities — check-in recommended before EOD.

MT
Meera T.Product Designer
Heroic Grind

Meera worked until 21:48, finalising the onboarding screens in Figma. Active design time logged at 6 h 12 m — her highest this week. Delivery arrived before midnight as committed to the client.

AP
Arjun P.Sales Manager
Quietly Stuck

Arjun had a proposal doc open in Word for 2 h 40 m with no edits recorded after 14:20. Preceded by a 45-minute Zoom session. May need a sounding board on the proposal — no movement since the call ended.

The problem

Managing a remote team on gut feel is a liability.

Most Indian founders running 10–50-person teams find out about a problem the same way: a missed deadline, a client escalation, or a quiet resignation. The signal was in the work pattern weeks earlier — nobody wrote it down.

  • Know who is deeply focused and who is context-switching into paralysis.
  • Spot the teammate who looks busy but hasn't moved a deliverable in two days.
  • Recognise the person quietly carrying the team past their working hours.
  • Balance workloads before someone burns out or misses a deadline.

How it works

Four steps. Windows activity in. A written brief out.

End to end, nothing magic, nothing hidden.

01

Install the Windows agent — silently

Push the WorkWitness agent via your existing IT tooling. Under 2 minutes per machine. Employees do not receive a prompt or notification. The owner can choose visible, silent, or stealth mode depending on workspace policy.

02

Activity is captured in the background

App name, window title, and focus duration are logged while the machine is in use. Screenshots are off by default; the founder enables them per-tenant if needed. No keystrokes. No file contents. No webcam. Ever.

03

AI writes one paragraph per teammate

Each night, WorkWitness runs pattern detection over the day's event stream. Sensitive strings — client names, file paths — are masked before the data reaches Claude. The model writes intelligence, not surveillance logs.

04

Brief delivered at 7 am IST

One paragraph per teammate, four named signals where they appear. Lands in email and WhatsApp — the apps you already check before standup. No new dashboard habit to build.

Who uses WorkWitness

Built for Indian teams where accountability matters.

Founders running remote-first teams

You built the company. You trusted the team. Now the team is 20 people in four cities and you have lost the signal. WorkWitness gives it back — without surveillance optics.

Ops leads managing distributed staff

One brief per morning replaces the ad-hoc check-in calls that consume an ops lead's afternoon. Surface who is stuck, who is overloaded, who needs a conversation.

Agency owners billing by output

Know whether the team working your client's project is actually focused on it. Not to micromanage — to staff correctly and catch capacity problems before they become delivery problems.

BPO and outsourcing teams

India's BPO industry runs on accountability. WorkWitness gives team leads a morning brief on who delivered and who needs support — without the overhead of attendance systems that miss actual productivity.

DAILY INTELLIGENCE

AI-written brief, not raw dashboards

WorkWitness does not hand you a spreadsheet of activity data and ask you to interpret it. The AI writes a plain-English paragraph per teammate every morning. Priya held a focus stretch. Ravi is quietly stuck. Arjun carried the launch past 18:00. You read it in 90 seconds and walk into the day knowing where to look.

FOUR SIGNALS

Focus stretches, switch storms, quietly stuck, heroic grind

The AI looks for four patterns in every day's data. Focus stretches — long, uninterrupted work in a single app. Context-switch storms — 30+ window hops an hour, a signal someone needs help. Quietly stuck — a file open for hours with no edits. Heroic grind — a teammate who worked late and carried the load. Named when they appear. Silent when they don't.

Signals appear in the brief only when the data warrants it

PRIVACY FIRST

Events-only mode for sensitive teams

If your team handles legal, medical, or financial client work, flip events-only mode at install. In this mode: no screenshots, no full URL paths, no file path strings leave the machine. The brief still writes. The founder still gets clarity. The employee's sensitive work stays on their machine.

WhatsApp and email — no new app to open

The brief arrives in the two apps you already check before standup. WhatsApp at 7 am IST. Email at 7 am IST. The same content, in whichever you prefer. No portal login required to get value. The portal exists when you need to drill into a signal — not as the primary interface.

Works on any phone. No app install on employees' devices.

Dashboard and reports archive when you need the detail

The portal has two views: a team dashboard with weekly KPI tiles and a per-employee day view showing focus time, switches, and top apps. Every brief is archived and searchable by signal type. Open it when the brief surfaces something worth investigating. Close it and trust the brief the rest of the time.

Built on trust

Monitoring that your team can live with.

WorkWitness is designed for founders who want clarity, not founders who want control. These three principles are non-negotiable.

01

Visibility is owner-controlled

The owner can choose visible, silent, or stealth mode for the agent. Visible mode names WorkWitness in Task Manager; silent and stealth modes are available for environments that require lower visibility. We recommend clear internal disclosure wherever policy or law requires it.

02

Masked before AI

Client names, file paths, and sensitive strings are stripped before the event stream reaches Claude. The model sees patterns — app names, focus durations, switch rates — not your client's deal terms or your employee's personal files.

03

DPDP-aligned, DPA signed

Designed to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Every workspace signs a Data Processing Agreement naming exactly what we hold, where it lives, and for how long. Not yet SOC 2 — that audit is on the 2026 roadmap.

The honest list

What is in. What is out. In plain English.

If something is not on this table, we do not do it. If we add a capability later, this page changes first.
